In March 2010 as part of an ongoing correspondence I sent an original book of carbon-based drawings to the poet Douglas Blazek. The drawings were an attempt to capture traces of light visible when my eyes were closed. The title of the book was AFTERIMAGES, but in response Blazek asked the meaning of the word ‘MASES’. He had misread my handwriting as AFTER/MASES but despite not knowing the title Blazek still mentioned afterimages in his response.
A 16-page sewn xerographic facsimile zine with two additional texts.
Edition of 50, the first nine of which include an original drawing and are co-signed by Myers and Blazek.
Published in 2011.
The first nine copies are out of print.
